ABOUT Pallavi
Pallavi combines warmth and empathy with a wealth of therapeutic expertise for navigating a range of life stresses and/or challenges associated with cancer and a range of other chronic health conditions. She is a compassionate clinician who is dedicated to creating a nurturing space for those navigating distress in their lives and recognises the intersection of emotional and physical wellbeing. Pallavi’s clinic is located at the Cancer Care Centre at SAH and she also provides telehealth services. Pallavi has worked as a Clinical Psychologist for over ten years in various cancer services, including Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Concord Hospital, and Westmead Hospital’s gynaecological cancer service at the Crown Princess Mary Cancer Centre.
Pallavi is trained in a variety of evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, and Dignity Therapy. She has worked both in large public health hospitals as well as private practice as she enjoys working within multi-disciplinary cancer care teams to support those dealing with complex health issues. Her clinical experience has allowed her to develop and tailor a ‘toolkit’ of strategies to meet the unique needs of each individual and provide help with issues such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, sexual dysfunction, and body image concerns, as well as the complex dynamics experienced by young families affected by illness. Pallavi offers comprehensive support throughout each person’s care, and works closely with medical teams to ensure integrated care. She understands the complexities of illness, physical healing, and emotional well-being, making her a trusted ally in the journey toward healing and resilience for individuals and families.
Pallavi is a Medicare Provider, registered with APHRA, and a full member of the of the Clinical College of the Australian Psychological Society. She is also a Board-Approved Supervisor and has hospital accreditation with the Sydney Adventist Hospital Wahroonga.
