ABOUT Sathya
Dr Sath Narayanan is a Consultant Medical Oncologist and researcher working at Sydney Adventist Hospital, Macquarie University Hospital and Northern Beaches Cancer Care Centre. He completed his undergraduate and postgraduate medical qualifications at the University of New South Wales, graduating with Distinction in 2016. He undertook specialty training in Medical Oncology at Royal North Shore Hospital, gaining Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2023.
He has special expertise in managing patients with gastrointestinal, genitourinary and breast cancer, but is comfortable managing patients with all types of solid organ malignancy. Sath is currently undertaking a PhD in order to evaluate how anticancer drugs may be dosed in a more individualised manner to minimise side effects and maximise benefit.
Medical Oncologists are specialist physicians trained in diagnosing and treating cancer using chemotherapy, immunotherapy, hormonal, biological and targeted therapies.
Clinical Haematologists are specialist physicians trained in diagnosing, treating and preventing malignant and non-malignant diseases of the blood and bone marrow.
