Northern Haematology & Oncology Group is a private practice directed by Dr Josie Rutovitz, A/Prof Gavin Marx, Dr Jane Freeman & Dr Csilla Hasovits. Our mission is to ensure that the management of all facets of our patients' cancer experience is optimal and as streamlined as possible. At NHOG, our team of health professionals strive to provide excellence in patient-centred care through and integrated and multidisclipinary team approach. Our friendly and supportive administration staff are well trained to facilitate timely and efficient management of our patients’ treatment bookings.

A genetic oncologist is a medical oncologist who specialises in inherited cancer. Genetic oncologists provide genetic testing, risk assessment and risk management advice for individuals, including those who have not had a cancer, and their families.

Psychological interventions can help improve the quality of life and well-being of those dealing with cancer. Once your referral has been reviewed by the doctor, one of our friendly reception staff will contact you with an appointment. Please make sure your contact details are included with your referral.

If you have had any recent blood tests or imaging, these results should accompany the referral.
